About
1993年より熊野と高野山と大峯奥駆道を撮影。1996年に渡米。アンセル・アダムスの暗室でゾーンシステムを修得。1998年大阪芸術大学にて写真学を学び終えて卒業。清里フォトアートミュージアムのYPFにて石元泰博、篠山紀信、細江英公の審査により紀伊半島の白黒写真10点がパーマネントコレクションされる。マグナムジャパンにてエリオット・アーウィットのアシスタントを努める。奈良市写真美術館、東京写真文化会館、ギャラリーアートグラフ銀座、などで個展。白黒ファインアート写真で紀伊半島の私的ランドスケープをまとめた写真集「狼煙」を出版。2024年にsold outとなり、同2024年に第二版を出版。昨年2025年はアジアを中心に香港、ソウル、シンガポール、台北、上海（来たる6月）のブックフェアに参加し、オリジナルプリントと写真集を展示販売。2026年も第二版出版ツアーと位置付けて各地をまわる予定。
Since 1993 I have photographed Kumano, Koyasan, and the Omine Okugake pilgrimage route. In 1996 I traveled to the United States, mastering the Zone System in Ansel Adams's darkroom. In 1998 I completed my studies in photography at Osaka University of Arts and graduated. At the YPF (Young Portfolio) of the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts, ten black-and-white photographs of the Kii Peninsula were added to the permanent collection through the jury of Yasuhiro Ishimoto, Kishin Shinoyama, and Eikoh Hosoe. I served as an assistant to Elliott Erwitt at Magnum Japan. I have held solo exhibitions at the Nara City Museum of Photography, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Gallery Art Graph Ginza, and elsewhere. I published "Noroshi" (Signal Fire), a photobook gathering my private landscapes of the Kii Peninsula in black-and-white fine art photography. It sold out in 2024, and in that same year, 2024, I published a second edition. Last year, in 2025, I took part in book fairs centered on Asia — Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei, and Shanghai (coming this June) — exhibiting and selling original prints and the photobook. For 2026 as well, I plan to travel to various places, positioning it as a second-edition publication tour.

なぜ、わざわざ本を
Why a book
山川草木悉皆成仏。このテーマを胸にしっかりと撮影ししっかりとプリントした純写真を世界に発信しています。手にとり、部屋に飾り、音もなく、文字もなるべくなくし、色も想像にまかせる白黒写真の魅力をみていだだければ幸いです。
Mountains, rivers, grasses, and trees — all attain Buddhahood without exception. Holding this theme firmly in my heart, I firmly photograph and firmly print, sending pure photography out to the world. I would be glad if you would take them in your hands, hang them in your room, and appreciate the appeal of black-and-white photographs — soundless, with words removed as far as possible, and the colors left to the imagination.
なぜ、わざわざ伊賀へ
Why Iga
紀伊半島であること。歴史ある和の空間で写真を飾ることに挑戦してみたく応募しました。これまでの展示とは違う世界観をつくりたいです。美術館やギャラリーではなく、和室でどのように飾ることができるかを考えます。
That it is the Kii Peninsula. I applied because I wanted to take on the challenge of hanging photographs in a historic Japanese space. I want to create a worldview different from my exhibitions so far. Not a museum or a gallery, but a Japanese-style room — I will think about how they can be hung there.
