About
伊賀地域の学校の先生たちを中心とした俳句を楽しむグループ「せんせいの句会」の代表をしています。伊賀の文化である俳句の楽しさを子どもたちに伝えるためにカードゲームを開発しました。また、子どもたちに伝える前にまずは自分たちが楽しもうと、俳句作り、句会を楽しんでいます。先日、妻と作った俳句を句集にしました。
I lead "Sensei no Kukai," a group for enjoying haiku made up mainly of schoolteachers in the Iga region. To convey to children the joy of haiku, a part of Iga's culture, we developed a card game. And before conveying it to children, we decided to enjoy it ourselves first, so we take pleasure in composing haiku and holding kukai (haiku gatherings). Recently, I made a haiku collection together with my wife.

Present Work
俳句カードゲーム「THE kukai」:2年前に伊賀地域の小中学校に寄贈した非売品のカードゲームを15部。リメイク版を今年の晩秋にリリース予定。サイズはおおよそ縦15センチ、横10センチ、厚み3センチ。 句集「春の寝息」:早産で生まれた息子が退院するまでの成長の様子を詠んだ句集。(未発表)サイズはおおよそ縦21センチ、横15センチ、厚み5ミリ。
Haiku card game "THE kukai": 15 copies of the not-for-sale card game we donated to elementary and junior high schools in the Iga region two years ago. A remade version is scheduled for release in late autumn this year. The size is roughly 15 cm tall, 10 cm wide, and 3 cm thick. Haiku collection "Haru no Neiki": a haiku collection composing the growth of my son, who was born prematurely, up until his discharge from the hospital. (Unpublished.) The size is roughly 21 cm tall, 15 cm wide, and 5 mm thick.
なぜ、わざわざ本を
Why a book
カードゲームは、子どもたちが机を囲んでワイワイ楽しめる「場」を作りたいと考えたからです。顔を見合わせて、語り合ったり、言葉を交わし合ったりするなかで、一つの俳句を深めていく創造の体験をしてもらいたかったからです。 句集は、早産で生まれた息子への未来のプレゼント。家の本棚にそっと立てておくためです。
As for the card game, it was because I wanted to create a "place" where children can gather around a table and enjoy themselves together. I wanted them to have the creative experience of deepening a single haiku while facing one another, talking, and exchanging words. The haiku collection is a gift for the future to my son, who was born prematurely. It is meant to stand quietly on the bookshelf at home.
なぜ、わざわざ伊賀へ
Why Iga
伊賀のブックフェアで、僕たちの活動を知ってもらいたい、伊賀の方々や全国の方々に伊賀の文化俳句の面白さを知って欲しい。 俳句は読み手がいて初めて成立するので、ブックフェアの観覧者のみなさんにも是非、この俳句という体験に参加して欲しい。
At an Iga book fair, I want people to learn about our activities, and I want the people of Iga and people across the country to know how fascinating haiku, a part of Iga's culture, is. Haiku only comes into being once there is a reader, so I would truly love for the visitors to the book fair to take part in this experience of haiku as well.
