nekobaは、Maomaomao と En によって結成されたアートクリエイティブユニットであり、東京を拠点に活動しています。 「面白さは、意味よりも意味がある」という信条のもと、ユーモアと軽やかな表現を通して日常を再解釈し、多面的な創作の可能性を探求し続けています。 また、nekoba は東京にて Riso 印刷スタジオも運営しており、Riso 印刷ならではの魅力を、より多くの人へ紹介・共有・発信することを目指しています。 nekobaメンバー自身の作品の印刷・出版に加え、さまざまなアート愛好者やクリエイターに向けた、小規模出版・印刷サービスも提供しています。
nekoba is an art-creative unit formed by Maomaomao and En, based in Tokyo. Under the credo that "interestingness has more meaning than meaning," we reinterpret the everyday through humor and light-hearted expression, and continue to explore the possibilities of multifaceted creation. nekoba also runs a Riso printing studio in Tokyo, aiming to introduce, share, and spread the charm unique to Riso printing to as many people as possible. In addition to printing and publishing the nekoba members' own works, we also offer small-scale publishing and printing services for all kinds of art lovers and creators.

なぜ、わざわざ本を
Why a book
今は、どんなものでもすぐにアップロードされて、コピーされて、流れていってしまう時代だけど、だからこそ私は「痕跡を残すこと」を大事にしたいと思っています。 Riso印刷は効率的ではありません。 ズレたり、色がぶれたり、不確かな部分もたくさんあります。 でも、その不完全さがあるからこそ、一冊一冊がただ複製されたデータではなく、「実際に作られたもの」だと感じられます。 紙の質感やインクの匂い、ページをめくる感覚も好きです。 私にとって本を作ることは、ただ内容を届けるだけではなく、その時の感情や痕跡を残すことでもあります。 もっと早くて便利な方法はいくらでもあるけれど、だからこそ、あえて少しゆっくり作りたいと思っています。 私にとって「わざわざ」とは、何か小さくても本当の感覚のために、少し手間をかけることです。
These days, anything at all is instantly uploaded, copied, and swept away, and precisely because of that, I want to treasure the act of "leaving a trace." Riso printing is not efficient. Things slip out of register, colors blur, and there are plenty of uncertain parts. But it is exactly that imperfection that lets each single copy feel like "something actually made" rather than merely duplicated data. I love the texture of the paper, the smell of the ink, and the feel of turning the pages. For me, making a book is not only about delivering content, but also about leaving behind the emotions and traces of that moment. There are any number of faster, more convenient methods, and it is exactly because of that that I want to dare to make things a little more slowly. For me, "waza waza" — going out of my way — means taking a little extra trouble for the sake of some small but genuine feeling.
なぜ、わざわざ伊賀へ
Why Iga
私にとって、伊賀のような場所にこの本を持っていくこと自体が、《Boss Logbook》の世界観の延長のように感じています。 この本は、完璧なモンスター図鑑ではなく、生き残った者たちによって書き継がれた「生存記録」です。 矛盾した警告や消されたルート、途中で終わった文章も含まれています。 だからこそ、ただオンラインで消費されるより、どこか知らない場所で偶然誰かに発見されるほうが、この本には合っていると思っています。 伊賀に持っていくことは、展示というより、この本を“現実の中に残された遺物”として存在させる感覚に近いです。
For me, the very act of bringing this book to a place like Iga feels like an extension of the world of "Boss Logbook." This book is not a perfect monster encyclopedia; it is a "survival record" written and passed down by those who survived. It includes contradictory warnings, deleted routes, and sentences that break off midway. That is exactly why I feel this book suits being discovered by chance by someone in some unknown place, rather than simply being consumed online. Bringing it to Iga feels less like an exhibition and more like letting this book exist as "a relic left behind within reality."
