「『18』は、1932年に書かれたラブレターをソウルで見つけ、それをテーマに作った写真集です。」
'18' began when I found a love letter written in 1932 in Seoul, and I made a photobook on that theme.
活動について
About
東京、台北、大阪の活版印刷所で働いた後、ドイツのブラウンシュヴァイク美術大学で欧文組版を学び、京都市立芸術大学の大学院で活版印刷の研究を続けています。 活版印刷を使ったアートブック制作を行なっており、2023年に発行した活版印刷写真集「心臓音」は、アメリカPyramid Atlantic Art Center で行われていた活版印刷の展示“PRESS ON“にてJuror Awardを受賞させて頂きました。
After working at letterpress printing shops in Tokyo, Taipei, and Osaka, I studied Latin-script typesetting at the Braunschweig University of Art in Germany, and I continue my research into letterpress printing at the graduate school of Kyoto City University of Arts. I make art books using letterpress printing, and the letterpress photobook 'Heartbeat' I published in 2023 received a Juror Award at "PRESS ON," a letterpress exhibition held at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in the United States.

Present Work
活版印刷での写真集を5種類ほど出展する予定です。この夏出版予定の新作、「1932.04.18」は、1932年に書かれたラブレターをソウルで見つけ、それをテーマに写真集を作りました。ぜひWaza Waza Art Book Fair で発表したいと思っています。
I plan to exhibit about five kinds of letterpress-printed photobooks. My new work scheduled for publication this summer, '1932.04.18,' is a photobook I made themed around a love letter written in 1932 that I found in Seoul. I would very much like to present it at the Waza Waza — Iga Art Book Fair.
なぜ、わざわざ本を
Why a book
活版印刷の手触りは、デジタル的な他の手法に変えることはできません。活版印刷で写真表現をすることによって凹凸が生まれ、視覚のみながず触覚も楽しめるものとなっています。
The tactile feel of letterpress printing cannot be swapped out for other, digital methods. By expressing photography through letterpress printing, unevenness is born, making it something to be enjoyed not only by sight but also by touch.
なぜ、わざわざ伊賀へ
Why Iga
新しい作品を作り始めるとき、まず行ったことのない場所に旅行することにしています。この機会に伊賀を訪れることは、新たなインスピレーションに繋がると考えています。
When I begin making a new work, I first make it a rule to travel to a place I have never been. I think that visiting Iga on this occasion will lead to new inspiration.
